Charming, Relaxing Cottage with Private Dock in Northwood, NH

This unique and charming cottage was fully updated in 2025. It is across the street from Northwood Lake, and comes with your own private dock. It is a perfect spot for a small group or family. It sleeps up to 8 comfortably. During the summer enjoy a lake temperature in the low 80s and outdoor activities including: boating, swimming, kayaking, SUPB, plus amazing fishing from the dock. Lake depth around the dock is 3-5 feet. In the fall, enjoy a hike through the spectacular foliage, and attend local harvest festivals. In winter, enjoy the frozen lake that supports ice fishing, snowmobiling, ice skating, and car races (usually in February). In spring, listen to birdsong, and take in the blooming flowers and waking trees. In any season, Northwood Lake is an amazing and beautiful place to relax with family and friends.

A circular staircase leads you to the second floor. One queen bed in a private room, and one full and two twin beds in the next room. Both rooms have mini-splits (AC/heat). Downstairs is a new queen size sofa bed and another sofa in the living room, which also has a mini-split. (The sofa bed is a great option for someone who may have difficulty with the staircase.) There are no closets on site, so there are storage cubes and hanging racks for your things.

On the first floor, a fully remodeled single bathroom with shower keeps things simple and convenient. Towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryer are provided. You will also find: a fully updated kitchen with most amenities (coffee, tea, cider, and hot chocolate are provided), a wood burning fireplace with TV mounted above, kitchen counter seating for 4, and a kitchen table for 4 as well. There is a mudroom with a new washer and dryer for your use. Cottage has wifi and a wireless color printer, along with cards and board games for your use. Please return neatly.

Outside the cottage are two comfy chairs with table set under market lights, and a propane BBQ. Up the stairs from the BBQ you will find a tall table for three and an outdoor sofa set, complete with working lighthouse! In the cozy backyard enjoy a fire pit with chairs.

The lake! A two minute walk from the cottage to our private dock. In the shed, next to the BBQ you will find lake amenities. There are life jackets, SUPBs, and a kayak. Limited fishing gear. Feel free to use the towels, water proof speaker, ice chest, etc at the dock. When you return to the cottage, please return things where you found them and make sure they are dry. As a guest, you will have access to the beaches and boat launches at both Northwood Lake and Bow Lake.

While relaxing and unwinding and making new memories at the lake, there is still civilization 15 min east and west. You'll find grocery shopping, popular national restaurants, and of course Starbucks and Dunkin! Off Route 4, on the way to Concord, there is Chucksters. This family friendly place features mini golf, zip lines, and other fun activities.

This cottage offers getting away from it all, keeping in touch with it all, or some mix of the two. Welcome to this incredible location on a truly beautiful lake. Welcome home.
