The Little Retreat combines both units of our charming duplex in Cape Charles' Historic District, offering 4 bedrooms, 4 private en-suite bathrooms, 2 kitchens, and inviting indoor and outdoor spaces. Start your morning on the front porch or screened porches, stroll to shops, restaurants, Central Park, and the beach, then enjoy plenty of room to relax and recharge.
ABOUT THE PROPERTY
The Little Retreat offers the flexibility of two complete accommodations under one reservation—ideal for families, friends, couples traveling together, wedding weekends, and fishing trips.
Each unit features 2 bedrooms with private en-suite bathrooms, a full kitchen, comfortable living space, and private screened porch. The separate layouts make it easy to spend time together while still giving everyone room to relax.
You'll enjoy:
• 4 bedrooms and 4 private en-suite bathrooms
• 2 fully equipped kitchens with Keurigs and starter K-Cups
• 2 comfortable living spaces
• Front porch and 2 private screened porches
• Blackout shades and sound machines in every bedroom
• High chair and toddler plates, cups, and utensils in each unit
• 8 beach chairs, 8 beach towels, and 2 beach umbrellas
• Starter supply of household essentials in each unit
• Accommodations for up to 8 guests
A portable baby monitor is available upon request. Please let us know in advance if you'd like it available during your stay.
Our local co-host is available throughout your stay should you need assistance.
GUEST ACCESS
Your group will have exclusive access to both Unit A on the first floor and Unit B on the second floor, along with the front porch, both screened porches, and backyard patio.
The units have separate private entrances and are not connected from inside the home. Unit A is accessed by four exterior steps, while Unit B is accessed via an exterior staircase.
Self check-in is available via keypads for both units.
GETTING AROUND
The Little Retreat is conveniently located in Cape Charles' Historic District, just two blocks from Central Park and approximately six blocks from the public beach. Local shops and restaurants are also within walking distance.
Many guests enjoy exploring town on foot, while a golf cart is a fun and convenient way to get around, especially when bringing gear to the beach. Golf carts are available to rent locally and are popular during peak season, so we recommend reserving one early if you'd like to have one during your stay. An outdoor extension cord is available for convenient golf cart charging at the property. If used, please return the cord to its designated location when finished and be sure it is not returned with your rental golf cart.
Free street parking is available.

The Little Retreat consists of two separate accommodations with separate exterior entrances and no interior connection. Your reservation includes both units.
Families are welcome. The home is not fully childproofed, and children should be supervised at all times, particularly around the exterior staircase and outdoor areas.
For added peace of mind, the unit is equipped with smart water leak sensors beneath the kitchen and bathroom sinks and temperature monitoring devices. These systems help us quickly identify unexpected maintenance issues and do not record audio or video.
Traveling with a smaller group? Unit A and Unit B can also be booked individually, subject to availability. See our other listings for details.

• Maximum occupancy is 8 registered guests. No parties, events, or large gatherings.
• Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be considerate of our neighbors, particularly when enjoying the porches and outdoor spaces.
• No smoking or vaping inside the home or screened porches.
• Check-in begins at 4:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
