About this house rental
The Vibe: Complete privacy, the gentle rhythm of the ocean and barking sea lions. It’s a peaceful sanctuary where time almost stops.
Tucked away by Point Whitehorn Marine Reserve, this waterfront bluff offers a cozy Pacific Northwest escape. The cedar cabin features a great room with panoramic views of the Strait of Georgia and San Juan Islands. Relax inside with board games or a movie, or head outside for yard games and karaoke. A property-adjacent groomed trail leads directly to the beach.
2.4 acres of waterfront and wooded privacy -- only one neighbor who shares our driveway. Our Pan Abode cedar home has a primary bedroom with half bath, second bedroom with queen over queen bunkbeds, and a converted sunroom bedroom with two queen beds. The primary bath is equipped with shower / bath combo, complimentary shampoo / conditioner / body wash, and more towels than you would ever need. The laundry closet is a vintage stackable, but it gets the job done.
Facing south over the Strait of Georgia, looking directly at the San Juan Islands and Vancouver Island to the west, we hope you'll enjoy a full 180 degree view of the water, islands and Olympic mountains.
Outdoor smokeless fire pit for S'mores and stargazing, Blackstone Griddle for cooking up burgers, dogs or whatever you'd like for indoor and outdoor dining. Six gravity chairs for lounging and outdoor games, including a lawn-size Connect Four Jumbo Sequence, and Yard Pong. Thick yoga mats for peaceful communing with nature.
Coffee is on us -- drip and specialty makers, including a French Press and extra carafes. Our appliance bar has an air fryer, Instant Pot, Vitamix blender, toaster, George Foreman Grill, countertop ice maker (!!), spiralizer, and grilling tool basket.
We keep a supply of condiments and seasonings, as well as Extra Virgin Olive Oil and a butter brick so that you won't need to fully stock the kitchen during your stay. Microwave popcorn and other individual serving snacks are provided for your enjoyment.
Our property is serviced with a well, which provides great tasting water, but it does create limitations with larger groups wishing for back-to-back-to-back showers and dishwasher / washing machine usage. Spacing out utilization alleviates any issues.
We love pets, but please note that there are coyotes and eagles in the area. Also, we greatly appreciate keeping dirty paws off our furniture and bedding.
