Midway Point is perfectly positioned between Hobart and the Tasman Peninsula, offering both convenience and a relaxed coastal lifestyle. Just five minutes from Sorell’s shopping precinct, guests can easily access supermarkets, cafes, and essential services. The Midway Point Tavern and local shops are within walking distance, while the nearby service station makes last-minute stops simple. Spend your days exploring the region — from scenic walks along the water’s edge to day trips to Port Arthur or Hobart’s vibrant waterfront. At the end of the day, retreat to your private sanctuary with sweeping views and a peaceful atmosphere.
Exploring Midway Point and beyond is simple. You can walk to the local tavern and shops, while Sorell’s supermarkets and cafes are just a 5-minute drive. Hobart Airport is only 10 minutes away, and the city is about 20 minutes by car.
There’s a bus stop just 100 metres from the property, with services running both into Hobart and towards Sorell — making public transport an easy option if you don’t feel like driving.
The property also has a large private driveway with plenty of parking space for multiple vehicles, so whether you’re arriving with one car or a group, parking is stress-free.
There is a cosy outdoor fire pot available to enjoy under the stars, but please note that no wood is provided. If you’d like to use it, bring your own wood, kindling, and matches — these can be picked up just down the road at the Midway Point Ampol Service Station. Always check Tasmanian fire regulations before lighting.
The property also has a private zigzag walkway down to the water. The track is visible but not well maintained, with a few logs and loose steps along the way. Guests are asked to be extra cautious, particularly with children. It’s safe and easy to follow, but best enjoyed during daylight hours.
