There are plenty of local footpaths to explore, and within 1 mile you can reach the picturesque village of Chilham, where you’ll find a shop, wine bar, and two pubs. Canterbury, with its array of boutiques and iconic cathedral, is just 6 miles away if you prefer the city experience. Play golf at Canterbury, Faversham or Ashford, all within 10 miles, or head to the coast at Whitstable, only 11 miles. Keen gardeners will love Hole Park, Godinton House, and Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens, all within 26 miles. Don’t miss a visit to one of the local vineyards, which include Chapel Down, Gusbourne, Balfour Winery, Biddenden, and the new cellar door at Domaine Evremond, the latter just 1.5 miles away.

The farmhouse-style dining table seats two people for a delicious meal conjured up in the Shaker-style kitchen, which includes everything needed for a self-catered stay. Alternatively, two steps down from the lounge is a delightful garden room with comfortable seating for enjoying the verdant views.
