About this house rental
The View
AloneTime sits high on the Wears Valley ridgeline with the kind of panoramic Smoky Mountain view that makes you put your phone down. The deck faces the open valley — on clear mornings the ridges fade pale into the distance, on cloudy ones the mist sits below you and you wake up above the weather. The hot tub is on the deck, angled toward the mountains, lit and warm before you arrive.
The Cabin
A traditional log build with high beamed ceilings, natural wood throughout, and a wood-burning fireplace that makes the living room the best seat in the house on a cold evening. Upstairs, a full-size pool table sits in the loft overlooking the valley — one of those details that makes a rainy afternoon something to look forward to. A hammock on the deck, rocking chairs, cornhole, and a BBQ grill round out the outdoor space.
Entertainment
Whether the weather keeps you in or you just don't feel like leaving, there's plenty to keep everyone happy. A vintage game console plugged into the Smart TV brings out the nostalgia, a DVD player with a selection of movies covers the slow evenings, and a pool table upstairs handles the competitive ones. Outside, cornhole on the deck and a hot tub under the open sky take care of the rest.
The Kitchen
Set up for a slow morning together rather than feeding a crowd — espresso, drip coffee, a full kitchen with everything you need to cook a real breakfast without thinking too hard about it. A dining table inside and a larger outdoor table for meals with the view.
Sleeping
Designed for couples and families. The master bedroom features a queen bed. The second sleeping space is an open-style loft above the living area — bright, characterful, and equipped with a twin-over-twin trundle that comfortably accommodates two children or two smaller adults. The living room convertible sectional sleeps as a queen for additional guests. Total capacity: up to 5 guests across three sleeping spaces.
The Tech
High-speed Starlink internet (100–200 Mbps), Smart TVs with all major streaming services, a vintage game console, and a DVD player for movie nights in.
Where You Are
Wears Valley is the quiet side of the Smokies — away from the Parkway crowds, close to the best of the area without the noise. Five minutes from the Metcalf Bottoms entrance of the National Park, with proper restaurants, hiking trailheads, and river tubing all within fifteen minutes.
Staying with a larger group? Our neighboring cabin, the Scandinavian HideOut, sits right next door. Book both and we'll coordinate your stays into a private mountain compound experience.
About Us
We're Alexei and Nicola. Fourteen years hosting in the Smokies, almost 700 guest stays across our small portfolio. AloneTime has been with us since 2020 — long enough that we know every detail of it.
