About this cottage rental
Less than 500 metres from the UK’s only Royal Harbour, this beautiful holiday home puts you right in the heart of historic Ramsgate. Wander to the water’s edge, and you’ll see luxury yachts moored in a marina that’s lined by an enticing selection of bars and eateries. Beyond the harbour wall, the beach is backed by family-friendly amusements. Make time to explore the Ramsgate Tunnels, a subterranean system used to shelter 60,000 people during WWII air raids. Keen walkers and cyclists can follow the Viking Coastal Trail, which runs along the coastline from Ramsgate to Herne Bay, taking in the pretty town of Margate (5 miles), famous for its Turner Contemporary Gallery. Alternatively, visit Broadstairs (2 miles) to discover its connections to Charles Dickens. For a spot of retail therapy, Westwood Cross (2 miles) has over 40 shops, plus dining and entertainment venues.

Fully-glazed doors fold open from the lounge area, allowing effortless access to a small, private courtyard garden which acts as a suntrap for much of the day. A door at the other end of the courtyard opens onto what would once have been the service lane for the terrace and is now a pretty area with garden seating and seasonal planting. Unrestricted on-street parking nearby is subject to availability.
