Step straight out into prime walking territory on the edge of the North York Moors, with North Riding Forest Park only 4 miles away and the Howardian Hills just 8 miles from the door. Enjoy days out to the magnificent Castle Howard (11.5 miles) or the evocative ruins of Rievaulx Abbey (19 miles). Being 2.5 miles from Flamingo Land, the cottage is also perfectly placed for adventures along the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast, from the charm of Robin Hood’s Bay to historic Whitby (24 miles), where the iconic 199 steps climb to the abbey remains.
Guests step into a wonderfully welcoming ground‑floor space, beginning with a cosy lounge featuring a crackling wood‑burner and a large smart TV for relaxed evenings in, flowing through to a bright kitchen with a huge dining area perfect for family meals and slow Yorkshire mornings; a comfortable double bedroom sits just off this level, along with two bathrooms with large walk in showers and WC's, and a charming snug tucked beside the main lounge offers a double sofa bed best suited to children, making it an ideal little hideaway for younger guests.
Outside, a private patio with a corner sofa opens up to sweeping views across the Vale of Pickering, complete with a huge eight‑seater hot tub, the perfect spot to unwind after a day exploring the coast or countryside, with bubbles, scenery and total privacy combining for a truly memorable stay.
