A chic, stylish Suffolk retreat, this single-storey cottage has an abundance of design flair. Sleeping eight guests across four bedrooms, it nestles on the edge of Acton, 3 miles from Long Melford and 3.5 miles from Sudbury. Long Melford is known for its array of independent shops, boutiques and galleries, and is a favourite among those who love antiques. Wander the National Trust’s beautiful stately home of Melford Hall, 3 miles away, with its walled gardens and acres of parkland. Kentwell Hall, 4 miles away, with its impressive Tudor house, is also worth visiting. Venture 6.5 miles to the fringes of the Dedham Vale National Landscape. Explore the landscapes that so inspired English Romantic artist John Constable. Pull on your walking boots and follow trails through the ancient woodland at Arger Fen and Spouse’s Vale, 7.5 miles away, enjoying the carpets of bluebells during the late spring.
