About this chalet rental

This idyllic cabin on the outskirts of Newtown, tucked away within private grounds boasting an enchanting woodland and scenic walks, offers couples a romantic retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The private grounds and woodland that surround this cabin provide a playground for anyone keen to reconnect with the great outdoors. Set on the banks of the River Severn, the market town of Newtown, 2.5 miles away, boasts a renowned contemporary art gallery, cinema, theatre, independent shops, restaurants and cafes to enjoy. The jewel at the heart of the Landscape of Outstanding Historic Interest in the Vale of Montgomery, the ancient town of Montgomery, can be reached within 8 miles. If you fancy outdoor activities, walking, climbing, cycling, and fishing are all on hand; there are a plethora of scenic footpaths and cycle routes to follow from the doorstep.

Walk towards the babbling brook and step onto the small, stepped bridge, which has romantic lighting after dusk, to stroll up the hill to this gorgeous cabin. Once inside, warming underfloor heating and fabulous views over the brook set the scene for relaxation. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner at the heart of this home-away-from-home combines rustic charm with contemporary elegance, featuring a panelled, pitched ceiling that adds a sense of space and a vibrant colour palette. The plush sofa and dining set are perfectly placed for you to both catch up on your favourite programme on the Smart TV and enjoy enchanting views over the brook through the bi-fold doors. The spacious double bedroom is designed with comfort and relaxation in mind, promising a restful night’s sleep before you kick start your next adventure with a leisurely shower in the contemporary shower room.

Outside, enjoy a spot of al fresco dining overlooking the river from the comfort of the sheltered balcony (If you’re lucky, you might even spot an otter, and you should keep an eye out for kingfishers, dragonflies and trout). Take a soothing soak in the hot tub or make unforgettable memories gathered around the fire pit. Walk down to the picnic bench on the grassed area, which also boasts access to the brook, to enjoy wildlife spotting. Before retiring for the evening, explore the ancient woodland and stroll through the surrounding grounds. Outside, you’ll also find private parking for two cars in the gravel car park, as well as space beside the cabin to store bikes.
