Half a mile from the village of Grasmere, this peaceful holiday home offers friends or family the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. You can easily leave the car behind and explore the village on foot, popping into cosy coffee shops, independent galleries, restaurants, or the famous Grasmere gingerbread shop. For walkers, the area is a true paradise. Stroll to the tranquil lakeshore, take on the scenic climb of Helm Crag, or wander up to Easedale Tarn for breathtaking panoramas. For those seeking a bigger challenge, ambitious walkers can tackle the Fairfield Horseshoe or even Helvellyn, before returning to the comfort of home for a well-earned rest.
Enter via three external steps into a long, welcoming hallway that leads to the home's impressive social areas. The lounge and dining room are filled with light, thanks to large windows framing sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. Patio doors open onto an extensive balcony with plenty of seating for everyone to take in the sights and sounds of the countryside. The well-equipped breakfast kitchen has everything needed to whip up hearty meals, including a dishwasher for easy clean-up. Just a few steps down from the hallway is a charming second sitting room, complete with a TV and DVD player – a quiet place to read or have some time to yourself. Back up the steps, the twin bedroom is a pretty, light-filled room with Jack-and-Jill access to a bathroom, also accessible from the landing. Upstairs, the master king-size bedroom occupies the former owner's studio, with a pitched roof and large picture windows showcasing far-reaching vistas. It has its own en-suite bathroom for a soak at the end of the day. A further double bedroom enjoys equally striking vistas and a handy washbasin.
Outside, the gardens stretch generously, mostly laid to lawn. Patio furniture is thoughtfully placed to make the most of the surroundings, while the balcony off the lounge is sure to be a favourite spot for morning coffee or an evening drink.
