Staying at this glamping pod near Bude gives couples and families the perfect blend of coastal adventure and relaxed Cornish living. Just 1.5 miles away, Bude is a vibrant town, surrounded by some of the best beaches on the North Cornish Coast. You’ll be spoilt for choice with a network of footpaths and bridleways that weave through rolling countryside and along the dramatic coastline. After a day exploring, head back into Bude to tuck into fresh fish and chips by the shore or enjoy a traditional Cornish cream tea in one of the town’s welcoming cafes. For memorable day trips, the picturesque harbour village of Boscastle (13 miles) is a must, with its scenic harbour, clifftop walks and independent shops. A little further on, Tintagel (17 miles) is steeped in Arthurian legend, home to the dramatic Tintagel Castle, the National Trust’s Old Post Office and the enchanting Merlin’s Cave.
Inside, the pod is a cleverly designed, all-season retreat, superbly insulated with underfloor heating to take the chill off cooler evenings out of season. The gently curved interior creates a cocoon-like feel, while the full-width front opens up to give sweeping views of the sky beyond. There’s a regal king-size bed with fresh linens, a camp bed or futon for children, beanbag seating for laid-back evenings, and a handy kitchenette for rustling up light meals and drinks. A private external wet room sits just outside, complete with a heated shower, WC and hand basin.
Outside, your private deck is made for easy-going days, with a gas BBQ-oven for outdoor dining, and landscaped lawns rolling gently around the pod. For groups, additional pods can be booked on site, along with the use of the shared BBQ house for sociable meals. Children will love the on-site shell studio. Off-road parking for one car is provided, ensuring a hassle-free stay.
