About this cottage rental
This delightful cottage, ideal for couples looking for a coastal hideaway, is located near the lovely village of Maramchurch, just 1.5 miles from the unspoilt resort of Bude. Here, the choice of golden, sandy beaches will appeal to sunbathers, swimmers, surfers and water sports enthusiasts alike, and there’s also a unique tidal pool to try, plus coastal paths for exhilarating hikes. Alternatively, stroll along the peaceful canal, head out in a canoe or kayak, or look for other nearby outdoor activities such as golf, horse riding, fishing, cycling and coasteering. Venturing a little further, Boscastle is just 13 miles away, while legendary Tintagel and the historic village of Clovelly are both within 18 miles. If days out visiting gardens and stately homes take your fancy, then Hartland Abbey and Gardens, Pencarrow, and Docton Mill Gardens are all within 16 miles.
Located among a small selection of similar boutique holiday properties, the cottage is set all on one level and has a laid-back, eclectic feel. Enter the open-plan living area, which has a tiled floor, with cosy underfloor heating, and a soaring ceiling with skylights – allowing daylight to flood in. As you wander around the cottage, you’ll notice a sweet decorative theme of seashells. In the lounge area, there’s comfortable corner seating and a TV, inviting you to sit back and relax after a day outdoors. The kitchen includes everything necessary for easy food prep, with a dishwasher to help clear up quickly. A dining table with room for four means you can spread out as you eat, pore over some local maps, or get competitive over a game of cards. The inviting bedroom, which also boasts a TV, features a king-size bed. A shower room with an indulgent walk-in shower completes this quaint interior.
Step outside to breathe in the fresh air on your private decking area, settling back into the wooden chairs or firing up the BBQ for a delicious grilled meal. There’s also a shared lawn if you feel like stretching your legs. Making arrivals and departures easy, the property offers private parking for one car.
