About this cottage rental
This sympathetically renovated cottage enjoys a peaceful location in the pretty village of Cherry Burton in Yorkshire, just 6 miles from the Minster town of Beverley. Visit this delightful market town to discover historic buildings and cobbled streets lined with Michelin-starred restaurants and independent shops. Westwood Racecourse is a great excuse to have a flutter, while their annual music festivals are something of a legend. For walkers in the group, discover a network of cycle paths and undulating countryside from the front door, or perhaps drive 8 miles to Market Weighton to join the 80-mile route of the Yorkshire Wolds Way. The coast is 15.5 miles away in Hornsea and is lovely for a family day out with amusements, fish and chips and soft, sandy beaches. The village pub, which also serves food, is just across the road, and a well‑stocked village shop is just down the street.
Built in 1833, this characterful cottage offers charm as soon as you catch a glimpse of it from the road. Step inside to be greeted by fabulous flagstone flooring and underfloor heating that warms your toes from the off. The lounge is bright and adorned in neutral tones for a relaxing stay. Curl up on comfy couches, watch the Smart TV or strike up the wood burner for a cosy evening. From here, there is the chic, spacious kitchen, which boasts more than enough appliances, and a breakfast bar for casual dining. Adjoining the kitchen is the boot room, which also doubles as a bike store. Head upstairs to find two beautifully presented bedrooms: a well-appointed double and a zip-and-link king-size, which can be made into a twin on request. Finishing this floor is the stylish shower room with WC.
The enclosed garden is humble yet perfect for barbecued lunches in the sunshine. Its four-person dining table sits a few steps up from the yard, surrounded by blossoming trees and ornate stonework. There is roadside parking at this property.
