Set in a beautiful rural location on the edge of the peaceful village of Gilsland, this charming cottage provides a perfect retreat for couples and families seeking a break from everyday life. Surrounded by stunning countryside, the area is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, with numerous walking and cycling routes starting right from the doorstep. Gilsland lies along Hadrian’s Wall on the Cumbria–Northumberland border and, just 2 miles away, offers delightful local walks through striking scenery. The nearby market town of Brampton, 10.5 miles away, is home to an excellent range of independent shops, cafés, and eateries, with scenic footpaths and bridleways extending into woodland, farmland, and open moorland. Haltwhistle, known as the geographical centre of Britain, is also easily reached within 7.5 miles.

Upstairs, you’ll find a welcoming king sized bedroom, a cosy single bedroom, and a second stylish shower room.
Outside, the open front patio is a peaceful haven. It’s ideal for leisurely al fresco dining or relaxing with a morning coffee or evening drink while enjoying sweeping views over the surrounding countryside and the wild forest beyond. Private parking is available for two cars. Please note that the cottage is part of a small complex, and dogs must be kept on a lead unless in the designated dog exercise area.
This property can be booked alongside Two Hoots Cottage to sleep an additional 4 guests, House Martin to sleep an additional 2 guests, or Deer View Cottage to sleep an additional 2 guests.
