In Gatehouse of Fleet, 1 mile away, you’ll find a selection of coffee shops, restaurants, and pubs, as well as a fascinating visitor centre. It is also the starting point for a 3-mile woodland walk and a number of cycling routes. Carrick Shore, 3 miles away, is a picturesque, sandy beach where you can sail, canoe, or windsurf, or simply enjoy a tranquil stroll. Visit the vibrant fishing port of Kirkcudbright (pronounced ‘kir-coo-bree’), 8 miles away, for an arts-and-crafts trail with more than 100 venues, or Castle Douglas, 13.5 miles away, for its array of places to eat and foodie businesses.
