About this house rental
Step through the front door of this welcoming, single-level cottage and into a bright, open-plan living, dining, and kitchen space, designed for relaxation. Enjoy a calming ambience of privacy and restfulness that lets you leave your everyday cares behind. Windows and doors fill the heart of the property with light and provide fabulous countryside and village views. Stylish, contemporary interiors feature thoughtful, family-friendly decor that echoes the natural hues and themes of the surrounding area. The lounge offers plenty of comfortable seating for unwinding after a day at local North Devon attractions – relax, chat, or enjoy a movie on the Smart TV, and add a log to the wood burner for a crackling, cosy atmosphere on cooler nights. The kitchen has all the appliances you need for mealtimes, and you can gather around the charming dining table. When it's time to rest, two delightful bedrooms – a double and a twin – are accessed from the lounge. A family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC completes the cottage.
Head down two external steps from the kitchen to reach a small stone patio furnished with a table, chairs, and a BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining while enjoying panoramic countryside views. There is also a small terrace with a bench and scenic outlook, ideal for a morning coffee or afternoon cuppa. Woodland paths begin just outside the front door, winding through the 2-acre site and offering opportunities to spot birds and wildlife, including the occasional deer. At the top of the steep drive, there is private parking for one car with turning space.
Due to the drive being narrow and the turning space being small, it is not suitable for long vehicles or vans to turn round
