Escape with your loved ones to this peaceful single-storey cottage sitting on a working farm just outside of the tranquil village of Selattyn. Sleeping six people across three bedrooms, it’s perfect for families or groups of friends in search of a stylish dwelling to call home while they explore the stunning Shropshire countryside together. Spend a happy morning discovering the peaceful trails at Selattyn Hills (1 mile), or for a more challenging hike, head to Offa’s Dyke Path (1.5 miles), which runs along the historic border between England and Wales. Alternatively, discover the Iron Age defences and incredible views at Oswestry Hillfort (2.5 miles). Also close by is the market town of Oswestry, the village of Chirk with its castle, Llangollen, and both Chester and Shrewsbury, all of which are easily accessible by both rail and road. Gobowen train station is also close by (2 miles).
On arrival at the cottage you have your own private driveway and parking area, which comfortably accommodates several vehicles. Step inside and you’ll be greeted by an inviting modern lounge area with a wood burner, surrounded by comfortable and elegant sofas so everyone can relax together after a day of exploring the countryside. Make yourself at home in the warm, welcoming space, with the the kitchen on hand for preparing everything from relaxed breakfasts to hearty evening meals. Share a sociable meal at the beautifully crafted dining table, surrounded by views of the countryside and open fields where sheep and cattle graze year-round and lambs can seen in spring; before returning to the lounge to unwind with a good book by the glow of the crackling wood burner. At the end of the day, there are three lovely bedrooms to choose from: a master bedroom with a king-size bed and a stylish, bespoke built wash station, alongside a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, all finished with contemporary styling throughout. A smart and well-appointed family bathroom with both a bath and a separate walk-in shower completes the layout.
Outside, share a fun al fresco dinner in the cottage’s fabulous garden, which boasts uninterrupted views of the open fields, with a paved seating area ideal for enjoying food and drinks in all-day sunshine. To the front of the house, an expansive open space offers stunning views across the farm to the distant hills. The property benefits from a newly installed hot tub offering the ideal relaxing spot after a long walk or to finish your day.
