The impressive Alnwick Castle (0.3 miles) overlooks a maze of cobbled lanes, while the unusual Alnwick Garden (0.5 miles) offers a bamboo labyrinth and a mesmerising rose garden. Time your visit right, and you can browse fresh produce and artisan treats that reflect the area's strong food heritage at the town's biweekly farmers' market. A short walk from the town centre brings you to Hulne Park (0.5 miles), where thick woodlands and quiet ruins feel wonderfully untamed. For a day at the coast, Alnmouth Beach, Howdiemont Sands, and Sugar Sands are all within 7 miles, offering you plenty of options for a traditional day at the seaside.
