Electric Pass Lodge sits right on the slopes in Snowmass Base Village, so skiing in and out is simply how the day works. Pull your gear from the slope-side ski locker, click in, and you're on the mountain. The building has a quieter distinction too. It's all-electric, designed to net-zero standards, and runs entirely on renewable power, drawn from its own rooftop solar array and clean energy supplied by the local utility. That's uncommon anywhere, and rarer still at the foot of a ski mountain.
Inside, three bedrooms across 1,547 square feet sleep up to ten. The primary suite has a king bed and a Waterworks bath that leans happily toward indulgent. The other two bedrooms are set up with bunks, so the kids can claim their spots and settle in without much debate. With eight beds, two bathrooms, and in-unit laundry, a full house runs smoothly.
The living area is open and easy to settle into, with clean lines and warm materials, and panoramic glass that pulls the mountain right into the room. Sink into the deep sofa with something on the flatscreen, or gather by the electric fireplace in that stretch between last chair and dinner. The kitchen is built to cook for ten, with four seats at the island and a dining table for six.
Downstairs, you'll have access to the Electric Lounge and courtyard, where electric grills and outdoor dining sit among planted green space. The shared Village Pool is right out front, a 25-yard saltwater pool with a waterslide and a spa pool alongside it. The ski lockers open onto the Bridges trail, parking is secure and underground, and the fitness center at neighboring One Snowmass East covers the mornings you'd rather work out than ski.
Base Village handles the rest. In winter, the lifts are right there. In summer, ride the Elk Camp Gondola up to the Lost Forest for the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster, ziplines, and ropes courses, or take on the Snowmass Bike Park, where lift-served trails drop nearly 3,000 vertical feet back to the village. The free Sky Cab gondola runs year-round between Base Village and the Snowmass Mall, the Treehouse Kids Adventure Center is a few minutes' walk away for ski school and childcare, and wood-fired pizza at the Limelight is just steps from the door. When the evening calls for a little more polish, Aspen is about 20 minutes up valley.
