Uncover the fabulous local scenery by jumping aboard the Esk Valley Railway Line to ride to the iconic seaside town of Whitby just over 10 miles away to climb the 199 steps to the ruins of Whitby Abbey, soak up the Gothic atmosphere and explore its narrow winding streets lined with an excellent selection of independent shops and cafes.
