The Neighborhood:

South Kihei is easy to enjoy at a slower pace, especially from a location near the Kamaole Beach Parks. From Maui Banyan, head downhill and across the street to two beaches under half a mile away for sand, a swim, or a sunset walk. South Kihei Road has local food, coffee, and beach rentals nearby, so you do not need to overplan each outing. For a guided water day, Kelii's Kayak Tours is just over a mile away. This neighborhood suits a couple who values a beach day that starts with a short walk.



Getting Around:

Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.
