About this apartment rental
Read on the lanai with the surf below, watch for honu and naiʻa in the water, and let the trade winds do the rest. This top-floor Kapaʻa Sands studio sleeps two in a small 24-unit oceanfront property known for its vintage Hawaiian character. As a corner retreat, it has louvered windows on three sides to welcome the cooling breezes, plus a full kitchen, dishwasher, washer and dryer, and a queen bed. The shared pool is an easy afternoon alternative to the beach, and the Pacific view is always waiting when you return. Kapaa’s food, small shops, and coastal path are nearby when you want to explore. This is for the couple who wants Kauaʻi to feel close and uncomplicated: a little oceanfront perch, a good lanai, and no need to overplan the day.
The Space:
Upstairs in a two-story building, this corner studio sleeps two in a queen bed with louvered windows on three sides for the trade winds. A full kitchen with dishwasher, washer and dryer, and a private lanai make it easy to settle in. The top-floor view keeps the Pacific in sight, while the shared outdoor pool gives you another easy way to spend a warm afternoon.
Guest Access:
Guests at Kapa'a Sands have access to the outdoor pool and poolside BBQ area, with the beach immediately outside the oceanfront grounds. This small 24-unit complex also has on-site laundry facilities.
The Neighborhood:
Kapaʻa Sands is right on Kauaʻi’s east-shore beach, a small 24-unit property with a distinctly vintage island feel. From this coastline, look for turtles and dolphins offshore, and watch for whales in season. Kapaa’s local restaurants and small shops are nearby for a simple meal out, while Ke Ala Hele Makalae offers miles of coastline for walking or biking. This part of Kauaʻi favors slower mornings, ocean watching, and an easy connection to town rather than a big resort scene.
Getting Around:
Kapaa sits along Kauai's Royal Coconut Coast, about 15 to 20 minutes from Lihue Airport. A rental car is recommended for exploring the island, though the main strip along Kuhio Highway is walkable, with beaches, shops, restaurants, and the popular coastal path all within easy reach on foot. Grocery stores and casual dining are close by. Parking is generally available at condos and along the street, making this an easy, low stress base.
Other Things to Note:
This vacation rental is not equipped with air-conditioning. This property is managed by Heavenly Vacations.
