About this apartment rental
Watch the day begin over Haleakala and Maalaea Bay from the furnished lanai of this one-bedroom Sugar Beach penthouse. Sleeping four, it gives a small family or friends a generous beachside base where a five-mile stretch of sand is just steps away. Make breakfast in the full kitchen, spend the afternoon between the beach and the shared pool, then take a hot-tub pause before dinner. Air conditioning, a private washer and dryer, and a private lanai make the day-to-day parts of a getaway feel easy. Kihei's beach parks and laid-back dining are nearby, while Maalaea Harbor gives you a close option for an ocean excursion. This is a place for guests who want sunrise, sea air, and a little more room to let Maui unfold without rushing it.
The Space:
Tropical touches and bamboo furnishings give this one-bedroom penthouse a warm, lived-in feel for up to four guests. The full kitchen is equipped for meals at home, while the furnished lanai gives you a front-row place for Maalaea Bay and Haleakala sunrises. Air conditioning and an in-home washer and dryer add the practical comfort that helps a beach trip stay easy.
Guest Access:
Guests at this Sugar Beach Resort penthouse enjoy access to the shared communal and outdoor pools plus a hot tub, along with a BBQ grill area for evening meals outside. The building has an elevator and a disabled parking spot for easy access. Beach access leads right to the oceanfront shoreline.
The Neighborhood:
Sugar Beach Resort sits on a long stretch of sand between North Kihei and Maalaea. Start with a barefoot shoreline walk, then head south for Kihei's casual cafes, markets, and beach days. Maalaea Harbor is nearby for a boat outing or the Maui Ocean Center, while Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge offers a quieter change of pace. This is South Maui for travelers who want the water close, easy outings, and a softer rhythm than central Kihei.
Getting Around:
Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.
