This 613-square-foot, one-bedroom condo gives up to four guests a true beachfront Kihei base, with five miles of white sand right outside the resort and the water close at hand for swimming, sunning, or a long unhurried stroll. Air conditioning, a full kitchen, WiFi, and a private washer and dryer make the practical parts of a beach week easy. Trade a sandy morning for the shared pool and hot tub, then use the shared grill for a simple dinner. It is a particularly easy fit for a small family that wants beach time to be the plan, not an errand.

Sugar Beach Resort sits on North Kihei's long, open shoreline, where a simple beach walk can turn into the main event. Sugar Beach is known for its wide white sand and room to spread out, whether the kids want to look for shells or the adults want a quiet swim. Kihei also keeps the rest of South Maui within reach for a change of scenery. Come back to the beachfront resort for a pool dip, a soak in the hot tub, or dinner from the shared grills after a day outside.
Getting Around:
Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.

The unit itself was clean and wonderful, however the locals were not so friendly. We were there for a wedding and were lumped in with everyone from the wedding, some who were being drunk and disorderly. We were not part of that bad behavior, but were still treated in an unfriendly manor. Maybe just an unfortunate set of circumstances, but I didn’t appreciate the attitude from the staff and the locals who live there. We did like our unit very much but wish the overall experience was better.

I very much enjoyed my stay here at sugar beach. So nice to be close to the beach, and easy to get down there, even for a senior citizen.! My room was lovely and very clean. The bed and linens so comfy! I will definitely be back. Thank you!

Condo location is perfect for spotting whales and enjoying the nightly sunset. Condo was well equipped with supplies for cooking, laundry. Vacasa host was very helpful and professional when we had an issue with our reservation.

No frills with this price and it’s fine, a lot of regulars that come back every year though they always stay in the same units. We have been many times over the years and definitely can see the difference from unit to unit. Pool, BBQs, and property was very well maintained.
