The Neighborhood:
Maui Kamaole puts you at the south end of Kihei, between Kamaole Beach Park III and the start of Wailea. Kamaole III is the easy choice for a swim, a snorkel, or an unhurried sunset on the sand, while Keawakapu Beach lies farther south for a longer shoreline walk. South Kihei Road brings casual restaurants, coffee, groceries, and beach essentials within an easy drive. It is a sunny, practical South Maui base for families who want beach time to set the pace.
Getting Around:
Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.
