Walk down the hill to swim, snorkel, or settle in for sunset, then head back toward South Kihei Road for restaurants, coffee, and casual shopping. Keawakapu Beach is nearby for a longer shoreline stroll, and whale watching can be part of the view in season. The neighborhood is sunny, laid-back, and easy to navigate without an elaborate plan. It is especially good for groups who want beach days, meals, and errands close together.



Getting Around:

Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.
