Regal 2BR Central Apartment with Free Parking - Monastery

The place is great: very clean, all the facilities you need, even more than we found at a 4 star hotel and have to say that is baby friendly too (bedroom with soft wall bumper) as we traveled with a 5 months old. And the most important, the host is super kind, always willing to help.

First off, if I could give this an 11 I would. This was such a cool and interesting place for us to stay I would have been happy with just that. First, communication with the host was great. I received a very detailed map in Romanian and English to use to find the apartment. With the map It was simple. Without the map we’d have never found it. The host also offered to meet us there if we wanted them to. I declined but I wish I would have just so I could have talked and asked a ton of questions. The apartment was very nice. Nice floors, great bathrooms, wonderful balcony, extremely well appointed. Beds were comfortable and it was extremely quiet. Very, very nice place. I could easily live there. The location is excellent. It’s not really right next door to much but very centrally located. It’s a quick 10 to 15 minute walk to sights to the south and similar to the north, including the monastery. There are plenty of good options for food that are even closer. I couldn’t have picked a better location. The apartment itself is in a former communist P+ block apartment. I was completely shocked when we got there and was really moved by the experience. The history of that building and that apartment really made my wife and I think a lot. What it must have been like in the 70’s and 80’s when the majority of those blocks were built. The listing wasn’t billed as such and that’s understandable but for me it was a huge bonus. Great place, great location and incredible history. I do hope to return one day in a different season and if I do I’ll 100% be staying here again…maybe for a bit longer than this time. If I’m not able to this memory will last forever.

There isn’t anything to dislike at all.

The location and the furniture.

Nothing.
