Buttercombe Meadow Campsite and Venue

Wonderful campsite - my husband and I stayed here as we were desperate to escape into the outdoors for the weekend, and it could not have exceeded our expectations more! Absolutely beautiful setting, gorgeous woodland to explore and lots of walks in the surrounding area. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. We didn’t use many of the facilities due to it only being a short stay, but everything looked clean and well-maintained. The separate washing-up area with hot water was a really nice touch, as were the free roaming chickens. Definitely gave us the break we were looking for!! Many thanks for such a lovely stay, we will be back 🩷

Unfortunately being close to a main road meant some traffic noise during the night, it didn’t disturb us too much but might others if you are sensitive to noise or a light sleeper.

The camp site is set amongst lots of trees, a stream & chickens roaming around. 🐓🐓🌳🌳Plus there is a camp fire with plenty of wood, to burn for the evenings. You feel like you are truly emerged in nature. All the facilities are camouflaged to blend in with their surroundings. It is extremely peaceful & tranquil. Plus there is a local pub offering lovely food & plenty of outdoor seating.😃😃
