Privacy and Layout: The highlight for us was having separate bedrooms. Giving a 13- and 17-year-old their own space away from mum and dad is a game-changer for family harmony, and the apartment's layout delivered perfectly. Exceptional Host & Welcome: We arrived to find the property immaculately prepared. The host thoughtfully left welcome treats, including chocolates and drinks, which the teens happily demolished after our journey. Brilliant Amenities: The indoor temperature was comfortable, which isn't always a given in older historic properties. The kitchen was well-equipped for family meals, and we appreciated having plenty of towels and quality shower products ready to hand. Location and Atmosphere: Staying in Fredrikstad's Gamlebyen (Old Town) was wonderful. It’s a safe area for the kids to wander. The neighbours were friendly and went out of their way to give us local tips on what to see. The Wi-Fi also held up perfectly for two teens streaming in the evening.
