Monte Vista Apartment - Private Garage Parking

The apartment itself is new and clean. There is also a dedicated parking space underneath the building, which is very convenient. The apartment was fairly quiet when no construction work was taking place. One of the nicest features was the view from the windows — you could see the Low Tatras in the distance. While they are not the High Tatras, the view was still beautiful and added something special to the stay.

The kitchen feels unfinished and lacks some basic essentials, such as a cutting board, normal/big size tea cups. Another drawback is the lack of a dishwasher, which would be especially useful for a longer stay. The hairdryer was also quite difficult to find, as it was hidden high in a closet. We received detailed check-in information. I was very pleasantly surprised by how detailed they were, but unfortunately, some of it was incorrect. The instructions said to go to the 3rd door when counting from the beginning of the building, but technically it was the 4th door. On top of that, the apartment number provided in the instructions was outdated. We spent around 15 minutes looking for the right apartment and eventually had to call to clarify the location. The issue was resolved over the phone, but there was no apology for the inconvenience. There is also ongoing construction/renovation work around the building. On some days the noise starts as early as 6:00 AM and was still ongoing around 8:00 PM, which made it difficult to properly relax and rest. The apartment is described as having that “new” smell, but unfortunately, this was more of a problem than a benefit. The smell of new construction and finishing materials was quite strong and unpleasant throughout the apartment. The pillows were also far too large and uncomfortable, making it difficult to sleep in an ergonomic position. Another disadvantage is the location. The apartment is quite far from the main towns and shops, and it is also relatively far from the High Tatras, so it is not the most convenient base for exploring the area. Unfortunately, I cannot describe the overall experience as a pleasant one, and in my opinion, the apartment was not worth the price.
