The cabin was truly a mountain experience. First, it’s a decent ways up in the mountains with lots of beautiful true cover. Next, the cabin has that cabin feel and smell. The outdoor living was the best. We spent most of the time outside with no traffic noise or anything. Hot tub worked great and they allowed small dogs too.

We had the best time and had a great stay at Jack Bear's cabin!! This cabin is so cute and quaint and exactly what my little family of 4 needed for our stay in Blue Ridge!! The cabin is so clean and looks just as pictured! We didn't realize though how far back in the woods the cabin was, and how the road leading to it would be. Just be prepared to go through a tiny gravel mountain road with lots of hills, twist and turns. And while this cabin is great and perfect, you have to allow at least 20-30 minutes from it to get anywhere in Blue Ridge or to do any of the activities around the area. Everything is just so spread out!! We did try to find the trail that is talked about in the listing to get to the river for our kids to play but it was not clearly marked at all and so we didn't get to play much around our cabin like we thought we would. They need to clearly mark a trail to hike to get to the river because it isn't far at all from the cabin it's just not a great walk if you try and find it. We would definitely stay here again but also wouldn't mind staying somewhere closer to town and more on the river for kids to play!!
