About this cabin rental

Welcome to Knock Murton! Sleeping up to four guests, this lodge is set in peaceful surroundings with open views across the fields of the Western Lake District. Ideally located between Cockermouth, Ennerdale and Loweswater, it provides a comfortable base for exploring this scenic part of Cumbria.

Inside, the lodge offers a bright open-plan living space combining the lounge, kitchen and dining area. The living area features a wood-burning stove and TV, creating a space to relax after a day outdoors. The well-equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, while a washer/dryer adds extra convenience during your stay. The accommodation comprises two bedrooms: a double bedroom and a bunk bedroom, making it suitable for couples, families and small groups. A modern bathroom complete the internal accommodation.

Outside, guests can make the most of the lodge's excellent outdoor facilities. The private hot tub and sauna provide the perfect place to unwind, while the outdoor fireplace and barbecue area are ideal for al fresco dining. The lawned garden offers space for outdoor games and is surrounded by peaceful countryside views.

The Lake District National Park is less than 2 miles away, offering access to an extensive network of walking and cycling routes, spectacular mountain scenery and abundant wildlife. Loweswater is approximately 5 miles away and connects to Crummock Water and Buttermere, while Ennerdale is one of the most unspoilt valleys in the National Park and is home to red squirrels, ospreys and buzzards.

The coastal town of Whitehaven offers a historic harbour, restaurants and shopping, while St Bees Heritage Coast is known for its sandy beaches and coastal walking routes. Further afield, guests can explore popular Lake District destinations including Keswick, Derwentwater and Ullswater, enjoy watersports and boat trips on the lakes, or tackle some of the region's most famous walking and cycling routes.

Knock Murton can also be booked alongside Blake Fell to accommodate up to nine guests.

Please note that the hot tub will no longer be in use from Jan 2027.
