Sand and Stone Resort

Brandneu, sehr freundliche, bemühte und liebenswürdige Managerin, die gute Tipps gibt (und für unseren Sohn einen kleinen Geburtstagskuchen). Hübsche Zimmer mit Kühlschrank und Mikrowelle. Es gibt auch einen kleinen Sandstrand mit SUPs an einem idyllischen Fluss. Lage nahe am Arrowhead Park und - sehr viel besser zum Wandern - in etwa 45 Minuten vom Algonquin Park. Auch Port Carling (sehr schön) ist in 40 Minuten zu erreichen.

Es wird sicher toll, noch ist die Unterkunft im Aufbau, es gibt also noch nicht alle Ausstattungsmerkmale. Für mich das einzige, was wirklich anzumerken und nicht zu ändern ist: es liegt nahe der Schnellstraße, die man von der netten Terrasse aus hört, allerdings nicht in den Zimmern, diese sind gut isoliert, sodass man gut schlafen kann.

The resort has only recently opened, but the owner has done a fantastic job creating a very special and beautifully designed place in the middle of nature. There are several types of rooms available, and ours had a lovely little terrace. The bathroom is not particularly big, but it has everything you might need, including a generous amount of towels, a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion. The kitchen is also small but surprisingly well equipped, with all kinds of cutlery (including properly sharpened knives!), paper towels, pots, pans, a dish rack…and even a great selection of spices for cooking. We were basically alone at the resort for three of the four nights we stayed, which made the experience even more special, as we could enjoy all the facilities almost entirely to ourselves. There is plenty to do: SUP boards, kayaks, badminton and tennis rackets with a net court, as well as lots of different areas to relax, sunbathe and simply enjoy the surroundings. Apparently, a sauna will be built soon, so at that point the only thing missing will be a swimming pool! One thing to be aware of is that the rooms are cleaned every two days rather than daily. Overall, a beautiful and peaceful place with a lot of attention to detail, especially if you are looking to disconnect and enjoy nature.

We had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed our experience. The location and view were beautiful, and the room was clean, comfortable, modern, and had everything we needed. It was especially comfortable for travelling with our 3-month-old daughter and my mom. We were celebrating our anniversary, and Kristina, the manager, was incredibly helpful and accommodating—she even helped me with the room décor and the surprise I had planned for my husband, which made our celebration extra special. We also arrived late, but the staff kindly waited for us and welcomed us warmly. Free parking, easy access, and having everything conveniently located on the ground floor were also great benefits.

Honestly, there was very little to dislike about our stay. Everything was well organized, comfortable, and convenient, and the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our visit. We had a great experience and would happily stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay! The staff were absolutely amazing — very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained. We especially loved the grounds and the overall atmosphere. It’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. We felt very comfortable and truly enjoyed our time here.
