Maria was an amazing host—I have nothing but praise for her!During our trip, my phone suddenly stopped working in Italy despite having prepaid roaming and data. It was incredibly stressful, and I had to borrow phones from strangers just to message her about our arrival. Maria was always there for me, acting like a guardian angel. That kind of support is truly invaluable.The apartment is in a fantastic location, especially if you want to combine historic sightseeing with beach relaxation and water sports.A few highlights and tips from our stay:The Beach: Bagno Elena (Donna Anna) is just a 10-minute walk away. Despite what you read online, we didn’t need to pre-book—we just walked right in. It’s a very friendly, cozy, and family-oriented beach.Getting Around: It’s a beautiful 1-hour coastal walk into the city centre past historic sights. Alternatively, the 140 bus stops nearby, runs every 10–15 minutes, and became our best friend during the trip!Napoli Kayak: Located just 15 minutes away via the 140 bus. The guided tour starts daily at 10:30 AM, requires no pre-booking, and was the absolute highlight of our stay.The Apartment: Ending the day in the hot tub was amazing. Please remember to respect the neighbors—they were incredibly kind and helpful to us. Top Tips: Bring your own snorkeling mask and inflatable mattress, as they are quite expensive to buy locally. Also, keep in mind that certain city tours do need to be booked well in advance. Change water in the coffee machine every day as the water is different from the UK. We were buying a drinking water just in case. It take about 2 hours to fill up the hot tub. Maria was always there to help us with all the instructions. Starting up in the dramatic, leafy cliffs of Posillipo, descending straight to the sea, and following the curve of the bay into town was unforgettable. We discovered that a sunset seaside walk is a sacred Italian ritual called the passeggiata. It was a truly relaxing and enjoyable time.
