Matias Drymades Beach Apartment

Very good location in the second row from the beach, directly behind the Morina Palace and the Radisson Blu hotels, which is still under construction. The apartment is modern and functional in design and was completely new in 2026. Other positive features include the washing machine and the practical terrace with a drying rack, dining area and enough space to store water sports equipment such as a SUP board.

Unfortunately, several important details in the Booking.com description do not match the apartment we actually found. Among other things, this resulted in our son having to sleep on the floor for two nights. The apartment is advertised as 75 m², whereas according to our measurements the actual indoor living space is only around 30 m². Even including the terrace, the total area is only just over 42 m². The description of a separate bedroom and living room is also incorrect. Apart from the bathroom, the apartment consists of one single room containing the bed, sofa and kitchenette. Several of the published photos also appear not to show this exact apartment. The design is similar, but for example the room divider between the bed and sofa shown in the pictures does not exist, nor does the dining table with chairs. Other details are misleading as well. “2 beds” actually means one double bed and one very small sofa bed, measuring only around 158 × 145 cm, which is not suitable for taller children or teenagers. The advertised “view/balcony” is in reality a terrace at semi-basement level, one level below the path/road, facing a wall. There is no usable garden, only a planted flower bed. The advertised “private beach” is not a private beach included with the apartment, but rather access to a hotel beach, where during our stay €30 was charged for one parasol and two sun loungers. What was particularly disappointing was that these incorrect details had still not been corrected one week after we had complained about them. We also appeared to be the first guests to stay in the apartment. A proper post-construction cleaning had not yet been carried out. There was still dust, cement residue and paint marks in various places, including on the floors, door frames and parts of the ceiling area. The areas outside the apartment were also not fully completed.
