pieter homestay

a 7 min walk from the airport. i could watch airplanes landing and taking off from my room. but it is uphill and you might want to ask peter to come pick you up ( for a charge) if you have a lot of luggage or are a group. the drive was 3 minutes . the room had a super comfortable mattress. i was allowed to leave my luggage free of charge since i was leaving for 2 nights then coming back for one night stay at the same hotel.

my room did not look like the one in the picture. a little more out dated. one electricity socket to charge. i used a set up of two pillows on top of the bed to be able to charge my phone. the water pressure in the shower was weak. made showering difficult. the toilet flush system had an issue and at one point i had to refill the jaricane manually to be able to flush. i think this made the price a little too generous for what the room offered. it was the location that made me go for this stay to save on car rides then unfortunately broke my luggage so i ended up using car rides on top.

Basic, clean bedroom but with limited space for two people. Large comfortable bed. Bathroom was basic but clean and the toilet was the best flusher in Asia - no chance of a "we meet again Mr Bond" in this one! Effective air con. Good wi-fi. Nice balcony with chair and great view over the airport. The family who own the homestay are very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is just a banana pancake and some fruit but that was ok for me. No kettle in room but hot water was provided on request. Location is very close to airport and about 10-15 minute uphill walk from the terminal (depending on how heavy your luggage is). However, it's a long walk to town and the port

Room a bit small for two. My partner would have liked more than just a banana pancake for breakfast
