Sopotnica - Apartman na vodopadima

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Sopotnica! The location is magical—right next to the waterfall. You can hear the soothing sound of rushing water all day long, breathe the purest mountain air, and wake up to birds singing. The house itself is not a luxury villa, but it has everything you could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable, and we had a stunning view of the waterfall right from the window. The highlight of the house for us was the incredible collection of musical instruments—there was a piano, guitars, drums, and even an oboe! It made our evenings so unique and fun. The guest accommodation is on the top floor, which opens directly onto the parking area and a lovely relaxation zone. The rest of the house cascades down the mountainside. On the lower level, there is a billiard table which was a great bonus. The hosts were exceptionally warm and hospitable. The nights here can get quite chilly, and they constantly brought us firewood so we could light the stove. Although the kitchen has an electric stove, we preferred cooking on the wood-burning one—the food just tasted so much better! It’s an absolute paradise for families. Our kids had the best time running around, playing, and they even got to try paddleboarding (SUP) in a calm pool of water nearby. Right by the house, there are swings, a BBQ setup, and an inflatable pool. There is also a huge lawn and even an outdoor field restaurant with a grill. If you want a break from cooking, there is a fantastic restaurant serving fresh trout just 300 meters away. The property is also conveniently located just a 30-minute drive from the Montenegrin border. Pros: Stunning nature, musical instruments, amazing hosts, great for kids, and the cozy wood stove.

The only downside is the rough road leading up to the waterfall area, but the incredible experience completely makes up for it! We would definitely love to come back.
