Thepu Villa

Both me and my wife had the pleasure of staying at Thepu Villa, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. The villa is beautifully maintained, with spotless rooms and a serene atmosphere that makes it the ideal place to relax and recharge. We took one of the beautifully laid and spacious double rooms with the attached bathroom. Both the bed room and the bath room had handmade furniture crafted from local timber. We have not seen anything like it anywhere else we have stayed. Water was from the estate spring and felt so fresh without added chemicals. The surroundings are peaceful and filled with natural beauty, creating a sense of calm and well-being throughout the stay. The estate itself had walking paths which introduced us to its plantations; spice, rice, coconut, vegetables and fruits. It also had a beautiful natural stream running bordering the estate. The food was another highlight—every meal was freshly prepared; plucked from the vegie patch right outside our room, with local ingredients and served with genuine care. What impressed us most was the hospitality. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect, making both of us feel valued and cared for. Their kindness and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. Overall, we felt that Thepu Villa is more than just accommodation—it’s a sanctuary of peace, wellness, and authentic Sri Lankan hospitality. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking rest, relaxation, and a truly memorable stay.

My two friends and I recently spent one night at this wonderful retreat, and the only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer. It felt like stepping into an oasis far away from the noise and pace of the city. We each had our own room, and all of them were fresh, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The surroundings created the perfect setting for rest and well-being. One of the highlights of our stay was the food. Every meal was delicious, prepared with care, and made from local organic ingredients. Much of the produce came from just outside the garden, was foraged from the nearby forest, or was grown in the rice fields right outside our rooms. It was a truly special experience to enjoy such fresh and thoughtfully sourced food. The warm and welcoming hosts made us feel at home from the very beginning. Their kindness and genuine hospitality added so much to the overall experience. We also appreciated the complimentary meditation sessions, which perfectly complemented the calm and healing atmosphere of the retreat. This is more than just a place to spend the night—it's a place to rest, recharge, and reconnect with yourself. One day is simply not enough. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for peace, wellness, great food, and authentic hospitality. We hope to return and stay longer next time.
