Hotel 1888 at Glenwood Hot Springs Resort

Room sizes were a little small, but it’s a boutique hotel. Everything was beautifully decorated with historic pictures and even a pair of antique gloves in a shadow box in our room.

Steve at the front desk made our experience that much better. We were traveling in. We received a call confirming our reservation. We had some delays getting there, but when we arrived Steve was waiting on us and had saved us a parking space as the parking lot was full. This made my husband happy. Then he took us on a tour. He had turned on the AC to the room as we were staying in 1888 suite and met every request. His service is what you would expect from the amount you pay to stay, which is on the higher side. The location is convenient to everything you need. Love that the price includes pool access, athletic club access, breakfast, and parking.

One thing I wished for while I was there, and maybe they had it, but I did not ask was a fan for the room. With it being on the top floor it was a little warmer and needed some air movement. A ceiling fan (not sure if it would fit style) or just a standing fan would have been great. The only other thing I would have like was to sit on the deck with a night cap after being in the pools, but at that time the deck is closed.
