The Wildwood Basecamp - Patarlagele

The owner was very kind, we were allowed with 2 dogs, the yard looks gorgeous and he accepted the payment in EUR. Everything looks very nice. The rooms are very large, comfortable toilets, everything very modern. I totally recommend it!

We really enjoyed the natural surroundings of this location and appreciated having the extra space in the apartment to prepare breakfast and even a light dinner when we arrived. It was especially convenient for our stay. The common area is a little creepy, with all the hunting trophies on display, but it definitely gives the place a unique character. 😄 The host was very welcoming and friendly—he even treated us to a round or two of țuică, which was a nice Romanian touch! Our main reason for staying here was the rafting, and the location was perfect, being very close to the rafting basecamp. There is also a nice outdoor sitting area next to the artificial pond, making it a great place to relax, socialize, and even have a little party outside. Overall, a memorable stay with a very friendly host and an excellent location for anyone coming here for rafting or to enjoy the surrounding nature.

A word of advice: I would recommend asking for a room in the newer building. The rooms in the main/common building, particularly those with access to the shared kitchen, are quite dated. In my opinion, I would not spend the amount charged for those rooms unless I had no other option. The newer accommodations offer a much better experience and, in my view, are worth considering instead.
