La Grange du Bocage – 10pers à 5 min du Puy du Fou

The house was so clean, it felt like you could eat food off the floor! The house is modern on the inside with fantastic beds, motorised blinds and really lovely showers. Everything felt like it was new and recently renovated/built. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a really big dining table which is perfect for families. The barn outside has a sofa and a table football! It is a 6 minute drive from Puy Du Fou, it's so close that we were able to hear faintly some of the music played during the "Les Noces de Feu" on a still night from outside the house. The location is very very peaceful and away from any town or village. As a result its possible to see many many stars on a clear night, It has lots of parking, probably enough for 5-6 cars. Check in was very easy using a number code, and the host sent a massive 45 page booklet with information on the house and nearby restaurants and attractions. It would be nice if the booklet was downloadable, but unfortunately was online only. The hosts would respond immediately if I had a question and were very polite and helpful. I broke a glass by accident and they told me not to worry about it :-)

The list of rules and warnings that charges would be incurred if they were not followed correctly seemed a little "over the top", but maybe that was why the place was so clean. We used the washing machine on the delicate setting. During the spin cycle, the machine started jumping violently across the floor and looked like it was going to rip the pipes out. It took two of us to hold it place. I reported it and the host said that they will investigate after we left. Hopefully they have fixed the issue or replaced it.
