Both the apartment and the garden are at ground level and therefore barrier-free. All windows and garden doors have roller shutters, allowing you to completely block out the light. The apartment is equipped with a washer-dryer, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and smart TV. A highlight is the single-person sauna (infrared cabin).
Paved roads and gravel paths make it possible to take bike trips all the way to the Netherlands and are suitable for road bikes, e-bikes, and gravel bikes alike. A lockable bike storage room with charging stations for e-bikes is available on private property. For walks or hikes, the nearby Findlingsweg trail at the foot of “Sonsbecker Schweiz” is ideal; it leads to the newly rebuilt observation tower. The region is characterized by farms with sheep, goats, peacocks, and alpacas. A large municipal playground is a five-minute walk from the apartment. The famous Roman town of Xanten is a 15- to 25-minute bike ride away, and the pilgrimage site of Kevelaer is 11 km away. Shopping options are within walking distance.
