About this apartment rental
The Kajüte isn’t your typical vacation rental. It’s compact, minimalist, and a little different. But if you’re in the mood for a cozy maritime hideaway with a sea view, a private terrace, and plenty of character, you’ll find something here that larger apartments don’t automatically offer: a genuine little vacation experience.
The Kajüte is particularly well-suited for a parent with an older child, young adults, or two guests who want to spend a few carefree days together on the Baltic Sea. Whether it’s a beach vacation, excursions around Lübeck Bay, or a visit to the nearby Hansa-Park—the cabin is a special starting point for shared experiences.
Upstairs is the sleeping area—more like a bunk than a traditional bedroom, more like a small ship’s cabin than a hotel room. But it offers a view that more than makes up for the limited space: In the morning, you can look out toward the Baltic Sea right from your bed. It’s not a grand promise of luxury, but it’s a moment that sticks with you.
The sleeping area is accessible via a narrow, steep staircase designed to save space. This is part of the cabin’s unique character, but it doesn’t make it suitable for everyone. The accommodations are not suitable for toddlers, elderly guests, people with limited mobility, or guests who are unsteady on their feet when climbing stairs. Important for parents: There is no child safety gate or barrier to the stairs in the upper sleeping area. For older children who are confident on stairs, however, the cozy bunk up top can be a real little adventure.
Downstairs, you’ll find everything you need for a few relaxing days: a small kitchenette, a cozy sitting and dining area, a smart TV, as much storage space as possible, and a modern, compact bathroom. The kitchen is perfect for coffee, breakfast, small snacks, and simple meals. Preparing an elaborate three-course meal here would be a bit of a challenge—but with the Baltic Sea right outside your door, you’re probably planning beach days, excursions, and sunsets rather than hours of cooking anyway.
The bathroom is also small, but new, clean, and functional. A shower, toilet, and sink are, of course, provided. We can’t promise a spa-like experience or room to dance—but we do offer everything you really need after a day at the beach.
A special bonus is the private terrace. It extends the cabin outdoors and transforms the compact interior into a little summer retreat. Enjoying a quiet cup of coffee in the morning, sitting outside after a day at the beach, or winding down the day in the fresh Baltic Sea air—that’s exactly what this place is meant for.
The Sierksdorf Cabin 36 is ideal for one or two people who are specifically looking for something small, unusual, and close to the Baltic Sea. For very long stays with a lot of luggage, or for guests who expect spacious rooms and classic hotel comforts, a larger accommodations are probably the better choice.
In short: The cabin is small—but it offers a view of the sea from the bed, a private terrace, a unique concept, and plenty of character in a compact space. It’s not a standard apartment, but rather a little Baltic Sea adventure for a parent with an older child, young adults, and anyone who prefers to collect memories rather than square meters.
