The Space:
Whispering Oaks Retreat is a private Hill Country gathering house designed for families, wedding groups, and friends looking to enjoy everything Dripping Springs has to offer. Located behind a private gate on a fully fenced property, the home provides a peaceful setting while remaining just minutes from downtown Dripping Springs, local wedding venues, wineries, breweries, and distilleries.
Inside, the home comfortably accommodates guests across four bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The spacious primary suite features a king bed, a private ensuite bathroom, and a relaxing retreat after a day exploring Dripping Springs. A second bedroom offers two twin beds and its own private ensuite bathroom, making it an excellent option for another couple, grandparents, or children who appreciate the convenience of a private bath. Two additional guest bedrooms provide comfortable Queen bed accommodations and share the home's third full bathroom. The dining table seats 6 guests, with additional outdoor dining available under the covered pavilion.
The fully equipped kitchen includes everything needed to prepare meals during your stay. Guests will enjoy a coffee station featuring both a drip coffee maker and Keurig, along with complimentary coffee, filters, a refillable K-cup, sweeteners, and non-dairy creamer.
Outside, you'll find a covered pavilion with a picnic table, a propane grill, a firepit, and a large fenced yard perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the Hill Country. Guests can also enjoy outdoor games, including cornhole and the property's horseshoe pit, adding even more opportunities for families, wedding groups, and friends to gather, unwind, and enjoy time together.

Guests have full, private access to the entire home, including all bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, kitchen, laundry room, and outdoor spaces. The property is fully fenced and accessed through a private gate, providing both privacy and security during your stay. AC in the main part of house was non-functional from the get-go - we reached out to property manager and was given You Tube videos back on how to control a thermostat. We slept with no AC and still woke up to the house being 79 degrees despite it "being on" all night. We tried contacting mnager again, but no response after 2 hours, so I had to contact VRBO support which got the ball rolling and we DID get a technician out quickly to repair it, but unfortunate that it started out this way, despite manager stating "we do our very best to make sure everything is running properly before each and every stay". Well, evidently not, as this was not working before we got there. Other than this, it was a spacious property and fit our needs. The rest of the stay was pleasant.
