The Space:

This thoughtfully designed 1-bedroom apartment offers a comfortable and accessible stay for up to 2 guests, with a fully adapted layout for guests with reduced mobility.



The apartment features a spacious, step-free design with a wide entrance and generous circulation areas, allowing for easy and comfortable movement throughout.



The living space includes a bright lounge and dining area, along with an equipped open-plan kitchen (no oven and compact refrigerator), designed to combine practicality and comfort.

El Perchel is one of Málaga’s oldest districts, historically known as a traditional fishing barrio. Its name comes from the “percheles”—wooden racks used by fishermen to dry their catch by the sea. Although the coastline has since evolved, the neighborhood still preserves its strong local identity, maritime roots, and vibrant community atmosphere.



Just 50 meters away, you’ll find the iconic Mercado del Carmen, located next to the Church of El Carmen, home to the Virgen del Carmen, the revered protector of fishermen. The market is a daily hub of life in the area, where locals gather to enjoy fresh regional products, seafood, coffee spots, tapas bars, and casual dining—a must-visit to experience Málaga’s culinary culture.



Despite its authentic, residential feel, the location is exceptionally central:

- 10 minutes walk to Málaga’s historic city center

- 15 minutes walk to the beach and its famous chiringuitos

- 400 meters to María Zambrano train and main bus station (direct connections to the airport)

- Walking distance to major shopping centers



Because of its central location and traditional urban layout, many streets in El Perchel are narrow and parking is limited, with most areas operating under paid blue-zone parking. For this reason, we do not recommend arriving by car. The good news is that you won’t need one—everything is within easy walking distance or well connected by public transport.



Staying here means enjoying the perfect balance between local life and convenience: a vibrant neighborhood full of character, yet peaceful, well-connected, and just steps away from everything Málaga has to offer.



Getting Around:

Getting around is very easy, as the property is located in a central area where most key attractions are within walking distance. The historic city center, beach, shopping areas, and local amenities can all be reached on foot.



For longer distances or added convenience, there are excellent public transport options nearby, including multiple bus lines, a metro station, and the main train station just 400 meters away, offering direct connections to the airport and other parts of the province.
