Perfectly positioned between the iconic villages of Tintagel and Boscastle in the heart of north Cornwall and surrounded by stunning countryside and boasting far-reaching sea views across Lundy Bay, Penpethick Barn is the perfect place to relax and recharge. Set within 10 acres of open fields and magical woodland, wander scenic footpaths straight from your doorstep, and enjoy the freedom of exploring Cornwall with your four-legged friends by your side. Ideally located for discovering the very best of the Cornish coast, you’ll find the legendary village of Tintagel just minutes away, famous for its dramatic castle ruins, breathtaking clifftop scenery, cosy pubs, independent shops, and links to the tales of King Arthur. Nearby Boscastle enchants visitors with its picturesque harbour, coastal walks, and historic 16th-century inn, offering the perfect setting for lazy afternoons by the sea. For beach days and coastal adventures, some of Cornwall’s most spectacular beaches are within easy reach, including Bossiney Cove, Trebarwith Strand, Crackington Haven, and Widemouth Bay, ideal for swimming, surfing, rock pooling, or simply soaking up the scenery. In terms of the accommodation, this fabulous farmhouse provides super spacious accommodation for six and includes characterful features throughout combined with all the modern comforts you'd expect. Staying here you will have the best of both worlds with the countryside right on your doorstep and the dramatic north Cornish coast and stunning beaches, just a few minutes away. ACCOMMODATION Entrance One shallow step leads into the enclosed entrance porch on the side of the house nearest the parking. Entrance hallway Tiled floor with ample space for sandy shoes and muddy boots. Sizeable utility/laundry room off with separate WC with basin. Washing machine and separate tumble dryer here with handy celling mounted Pulleymaid for airing and drying clothes. Open plan living and dining room A fantastic space with the dining room furniture (can seat up to 8 if using Sundowners (825) set on a raised stage section of this terrific room. Two steps down into the living area with super comfy easy seating, large wall mounted SMART TV and wood burner set in the original fireplace. Sun room/ conservatory Off the living room is this super space which is perfect for enjoying the awesome sunsets or for the children to play. A door from here leads out into the front garden. Farmhouse kitchen/breakfast room Step down into the traditional style farmhouse kitchen with tiled floor and area with a breakfast table and four chairs. Kitchen appliances include a large Rangemaster stove with double oven and grill plus gas hob and electric ceramic hob plate. You will also find a fridge with 3 drawer freezer, standard size dishwasher, microwave, Ninja air fryer and Nespresso coffee machine. A stable door leads down into the handy back porch with hooks for coats and room for wellies and flip flops. Access from here out into the gardens and patio. Carpeted stairs with stairgate at the top lead up to: Bedroom 1 With a 6ft zip and link bed to provide extra sleeping flexibility a spacious room with large chest of drawers and double wardrobe. Lovely views out across the front garden and sea beyond. Bedroom 2 A cute bedroom with lovely views again. This bedroom has a full size single bed in it with a pull out 3 ft mattress under (trundle bed). Built in single wardrobe. Bedroom 3 Again, views over the garden and fields to the sea beyond. 5ft king size bed with double wardrobe. All bedrooms are carpeted. Heating Central heating throughout. Dogs A maximum of 3 dogs are accepted - pet policy applies. OUTSIDE/PARKING Large lawn front garden with pretty shrubs and views across the neighbouring fields. Separate patio area (enclosed) with furniture provided - images to follow. Rotary dryer and charcoal BBQ provided. There is a small garden area to the rear also. Please note that this area has a right of way over it for the neighbouring holiday lets to also access the fields and woodland. Parking for 2-3 cars on a gravel surface. Please note that the driveway entrance is shared with two other properties - one is Sundowners (ID 825) - Sundowners sleeps 2 and can be let in conjunction with Penpethick Barn. ADDITIONAL INFO - This property welcomes a maximum of 3 dogs of any size. Primarily enclosed with stone walls and shrubs only the most determined dogs will escape but please ensure your pet is supervised whilst using the outside space as there will be from time to time, livestock in neighbouring fields. - This property accommodates a maximum of 6 people plus infant - Please advise the office when making or placing your booking if you would like the zip and link bed made up as a twin. Otherwise, it will be made up as a super king (6ft) double. - Charcoal for the BBQ and wood for the wood burner not provided Pets information: £30 per pet per week taken after booking has been confirmed
