Tucked away in lush surroundings only a stone throw from Watsons Bay and Camp Cove beach this three bedroom cottage at heart has been meticulously renovated into a light filled architects dream. Spread over two levels, this home is perfectly planned for a comfortable and carefree summer living year around. Three bedrooms and two spa-like bathrooms offers enough space for a couples retreat as well as for a family. Several generous outdoor areas provides extra space for social living.
The Space:
The first floor is home to the light and spacious living area where the kitchen flows into the comfortable sitting and out on the deck for al fresco dining. A fire place makes winter evenings as enjoyable as summer evenings on the deck. Preparing a meal in the spacious kitchen is a delight with sleek cabinetry and a big window letting in the sun. In addition to the social areas the first floor also has a clever study area for those who wish to have quiet time with a book. Polished concrete floors , soft wooden walls and top class finishes throughout. The covered balcony is popular in any weather.
The lower level is the bedroom level with access out to the garden. All bedrooms are garden facing and offers privacy as well as a good night sleep. You will also find a spacious laundry and a wine fridge on this floor. In one end the master bedroom retreat invites with a king bed and ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom with a comfortable queen bed shares a large family bathroom complete with bathtub with the third bedroom. The later sleeps two separate single beds, which can also be joined to make a king bed (Please put request for this at the time of booking and the request can only be fulfilled if booking is at least 3 days in advance of the check in). The resort style garden includes an outdoor kitchen with bbq and dining table as well as a lawn for fun times playing. Or if you prefer lounging in the shade on the comfy seating. This is a truly serene and hidden oasis in the perfect location.
The Neighborhood:
The area enjoys the ideal location. You’re just a one-minute walk across from Camp Cove Beach and within walking distance to South Head National Park, bush tracks and historic Watsons Bay village. You are as close to local cafes and restaurants as you are to nature and the ocean. The house backs onto a reserve. The closest bus stop is around a 10-minute walk giving you easy access to Bondi Beach, the city, while a car trip to the CBD will take around 30 minutes. If you want to see more of the harbour, Watsons Bay Wharf is a quick walk so you can catch a ferry to the city, Taronga Zoo or even across to Manly.
