Beaverdam Lakeside Retreat | Waterfront Cottage on Nova Scotia’s South Shore
Welcome to our brand new lakefront chalet - a warm, comfortable place designed for gathering, slowing down, and enjoying time together in every season. Whether you’re planning a summer family vacation, a cozy winter weekend, or a quiet escape with friends, the space is meant to feel relaxed, welcoming, and easy to settle into from the moment you arrive.
Set directly on a peaceful non-motorized lake, the chalet offers beautiful lake views, peaceful surroundings, and plenty of space both inside and out to reconnect and unwind. Spend your mornings with coffee overlooking the lake, your afternoons swimming, kayaking, exploring, or simply relaxing outdoors, and your evenings sharing meals, playing games, or sitting by the fire after a full day together.
The home comfortably accommodates families and groups, with thoughtfully designed living spaces that balance togetherness and privacy. The kitchen is fully equipped for everything from quick breakfasts to long family dinners, while the main living area is perfect for cozy nights in after a day outside. Large windows throughout the chalet bring in natural light and keep the lake close, even when you’re indoors.
Guests will enjoy:

• BBQ grill and cooking essentials
• Firepit with Adirondack chairs
• 2 kayaks and life jackets included
• Smart TV and high-speed WiFi (note: there is no cell service but calls can be made through wifi)
• Heat pump with heating & air conditioning
• Fully equipped kitchen with cookware, oil, salt & pepper, coffee, drip coffee maker, and espresso/latte machine
• Board games, books, and children’s toys
• Pack ’n Play for younger guests
• Pet-friendly accommodations
• Parking for 4+ vehicles
• Single-level layout with no stairs
The calm lake is ideal for swimming, kayaking, paddle adventures, and bass fishing. A short path leads through the backyard leads directly to the water (water levels at the entry point may vary seasonally).
During winter, the chalet becomes a cozy retreat after snowy outdoor adventures (hot tub coming in late fall 2026).
Sleeping Arrangements
• Primary bedroom — King bed
• Guest bedroom — Queen bed
• Third bedroom — Two bunk beds (4 twin beds)
Comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests (+2 additional babies or young kids possible).

• 20 minutes to Wile’s Lake Farm Market
• 25 minutes to Bridgewater for groceries, cafés, breweries, and restaurants

• Day trips to Kejimkujik National Park for hiking, canoeing, and dark sky stargazing
• Close to white sand beaches including Rissers Beach, Crescent Beach, and Green Bay
• Approximately 1.5 hours from Halifax

We also own the cottage next door (Morehouse Lakehouse Chalet) which accommodates an additional 8 adults + 3 kids. Booking both properties together works wonderfully for extended families, multiple families traveling together, retreats, or special gatherings where everyone wants to stay close while still having their own space.
