Homely Birchwood Gatwick

The hotel is close to Gatwick Airport by bus and car, and the room price was very reasonable.

Staff person who met us at the front door did not have our name on his list of people with reservations. We had to open a suitcase on the floor at the front door in order to prove that we had a reservation. Also, it was not easy to identify which house on the street was the hotel. We passed it a couple of times before being able to identify it, and then locate the access to it. Access is from a busy two-way street, and the entrance is not clearly marked.
